THE ELEPHANT IN EVERY ROOM I ENTER

“Boasting Comfort’s tremendous acting and a compelling story, Elephant is a moving reflection on living, expressing, and connecting through Tourette Syndrome.”

— Rachel Kerry, New York Theatre Review

In 2014 I attended the Tourette Association of America National Conference, representing my NYC chapter. It was a life changing experience. Being surrounded by children and adults ticcing constantly and in a variety of ways was profound because it was the first time in my life where my abnormality was suddenly normal. I ended up creating a solo theatre show about the experience with my collaborator, the director Kel Haney, in Mabou Mines’ Resident Arts Program.

I performed the show at La Mama a few times, then at New York Theater Workshop’s Next Door Series, and have brought it to medical schools and arts and education institutions across the country.

You can learn more about the show, and book it at your venue, here.
